Finished basic- on to AIT

My son in law graduated from basic training on Nov 22. We drove from TN to Fort Jackson SC for the graduation then spent the next four days with him as we made our way to Fort Lee VA. Due to the holiday my daughter was able to spend more time with him than expected. The good news is that they can talk on the phone to each other every day. The bad news is his AIT has been pushed back to the first of the year which means he want be home when his daughter is born.

I have seen the TV ads that say a person is different after going through basic, and I now believe it. Josh was already a good son in law before, but now he is a new man. He is more sure of himself and his future than ever before. He knows he can do whatever he puts his mind to and he has more confidence and higher self esteem. These are all good things because that my baby girl he married.

Ditto! + a hearty handshake from all of us here, who are proud of him, and his fellow armed services personnel!
