Yes, another Krag
I was visiting a local gun shop and about to leave when I saw a rifle on a distant rack in the back of the shop. I waltzed over and was impressed to see it was a lovely Krag in a fancy sporter stock with Lyman 57 aperture sights. The price was dirt cheap (we are a long way from deer season) so I told the shop owner to put it back in the safe for me. These classic arms are getting very hard to find in the condition of this rifle. All the best...

Gil,
What model Krag is that specimen? If it needs to live in deer country, I will buy it. Adam

1898 Krag
It was a rifle that was shortened to a 22" barrel. The stock has a schnabel forend, cut checkering, detachable sling swivels and a thin recoil pad. All the best...

Gil, it sounds like it might be a Sedgely.

Krag
Gil,
Way to go! There is always room in the safe for another Krag. Take care... Joe |
