m-17
k-22 6" Pinned bbl or not? Is it just a 17 or is it a suffix gun...like a 17-2 or 3 or 4? You can see that under the crane on the frame left side. Magna grips or target? NRA good hurts a bit but if the bore is good and ya just want a shooter maybe up to 3-325. Try to buy it for less though 250-275 may actually be more to the true value.. Some of those got hard use. Check the cylinder for play side to side and front to back. Both cocked and uncocked. If more than a little consider it may need the cylinder locking worked on. handguns are getting very expensive now for some odd(?) reason. Hillary?.osama?? Mc Cain?? UN???

jplonghunter,
I modified the serial number you posted and now the last three digits are "xxx". An NRA Condition Standard of "Good" is not necessarily good, but it is a correct condition adjective. I cannot help with date of manufacture, but the 11th Edition of "Modern Gun Values" states on page 205 the M17 "was introduced around 1947; no longer in production." With 6-inch barrel, the values are: Perfect $350 Excellent $275 Very Good $200 My book was printed in 2001, so you can add $50-$100 to each grade to get a better evaluation. Hope this helps. Adam
