anyone have a Moss Model 695 ?
Mossberg Model 695 Bolt Action Shotgun 12 gauge
Have a local guy looking to part with one. Think I might take a look. Pros ? Cons ? known problems with them ? realistic range of value now ? thanks

695
Only dealt with two. Both were rifled bores Shot good(kick like 2 mules) but the problem both had was not ejecting the empty. Never could seem to figure it out. The case just slid over the ejector for some reason. Made 'em both better but not perfect. Slug gun like that isn't the quickest any way and are really a stand gun. Both were fairly accurate for slug guns. Stock was a bit low....for a scope...and if you are buying it for a slug gun..you're gonna put a scope on. Good prices on them now used is in the 200 buck range. You DO get what ya pay for. There were quite a few in the deer woods around Maryland. I am assuming it is a rifled gun. Pretty certain they made a smooth bore one too.
Hope this helps a little.

that it does !
None of my current guns throw a slug that'll hit the broad side of a barn. Dont have need for one very often, but I thought this might be an inexpensive (yes...cheap) way to fix that.
