Not a Yard sale but

Gun Show finds. Went to a small gun show near home Saturday. Took a couple of guns to put on a friends table. Sold a really nice Colt Trooper Mk III that I bought a while back..got a fair amount of cash and a really nice Leupold 12X target scope. Bought a nice Redfield Olympic receiver sight for really cheap..A new Remington synthetic stock for a Long action 700 for 20 bucks a couple of new mini mag lites in the packages for 5 bucks each. A new set of Leupold mounts and rings for a Remington 700 for 5 bucks. a nice ?? Charles Daly 45 auto with 5 mags a really nice holster rig and an almost full box of Remington 45 auto Golden Saber hollow points for 325.... Got an old and ugly Winchester 94 barreled action(almost had some rifling) 2 stocks and 2 forends for 25 bucks and the crowning buy was a fairly nice Remington Model 10 12 ga pump shotgun for the princely sum of 35 dollars. They thought it was broken.. but just not assembled right. It is now of course. Then I got crazy and bought a Marlin XL7?? bolt action rifle with scope in 243 for 260 bucks. Ya see..I bought a whole bunch of 243 ammo last week and needed a gun to go with it.. This experience just proves that there are bargains to be found...even at a gun show. Ya just gotta look and make an offer.

What caliber was the model 94 Skeet?

Looks like good finds to me.

The 94

The 94 was a thutty thutty. 117xxx serial. Octagon bbl. What I was thinking to do was have the bbl rebored to a larger caliber such as 32-40 or so. Have to find someone to do that though. Just thought it would be a neat(but I'm sure not cheap) project. After looking at the Remington shotgun it seems as though the gun may be a pre model 10...called a Remington Repeating shotgun as it isn't marked as to model. I did put it together correctly though and it operates as it should. I had a model 10 years ago and IIRC it wasn't the most reliable pump gun I ever shot..so I may just sell this to Gun Parts or whatever. Maybe they will make me a trade for Win 94 parts. Shot the 45 and it goes just fine with my reloads..Dem Golden Sabers are too spensive to just waste..

Forgot to add that last Wednesday I bought an old Rem 721 in 270. Actually in really nice shape with an older Bushnell Banner II 1.5 x 4 scope.. Paid 225 for it and am going to hunt with the darn thing. May change the scope out though.. And put the Leupold bases and rings I got yesterday on it. We'll see how it shoots and go from there.
