mecahnical release and no sights?

I have been a bare bow finger shooter all my life, I am now considering adding a mechanical release and a d-loop in to save my fingers from the pain of shooting as much as I have been. Anybody else shoot a release and not use sights, peeps, scopes, range-finding recticles, heat seeking ballistic auto-targeting gps super carbon titanium combo arrows?

Yes I still shoot aluminum arrows as well.

I shot finger for years and discovered how much better I do with a release. I would never go back. Shooting a animal with a bow isn't easy and I try to take advantage of everthing I can including sites and heat seaking missles.

I have shot my bow for years like that, until a couple of years ago. The last 2 years i have been using sights. I have decided next year i will be going back to shooting instinctive and using aluminum arrows instead of carbon. My problem using sights is i have to really concentrate on my anchor point and getting everything lined up. Shooting instinctively i anchor my release at the corner of my eye and looking right down the arrow. As far as using aluminum, i think i can get them to be quieter than my carbon arrows. I guess what i am saying is i really miss shooting instinctive. I grew up doing it that way and next year will be going back to it. More enjoyment for me.
