Traditional archery??

Well there are very few who even know what it means. And all those people shooting the 80% dropoff compounds are complaining cause the states are letting people use crossbows. Sheesh.. Let the complainers have to use a recurve no sights no release no nothing..It's all about having time in the great outdoors. Who cares what they use. I personally like the old Longbow or a recurve much much better. I used compounds when they first came out..in fact I was a distributor for one of the big names at one time..couldn't shoot their bows worth a toot. Or at least that is the way I felt. In fact I just got a Hoyt recurve..A few years old. Never had an arrow shot with it. No arrow rest on it in fact. I also got a LARGE stash of Port Orford Cedar arrow shafts knocks feathers fletching tools etc etc etc..Just what I need. Probably gonna put it all on ebay..Oh BTW I also have an old Barnett crossbow and my father in laws crossbow. It is fun to shoot. I also have my old Bear Super Kodiak recurve from 1971..Shot a whole lot of deer with that bow. Longest trailing job I ever had was about 80 yds..And it is a 42 lb pull bow at 28 inches.48 at my normal 31 inch

Started bow hunting with a 80 lb Bear Super Grizzly recurve.....sold it when I bought my compound (back in the early 80s). I don't bowhunt much anymore.....it has taken a back seat to duck hunting and there is too much hunting pressure on the public land that I hunt anymore.
Some day I would like to make a Hun composite bow, building it the same (or similar) way that they did.....kinda hard, as there is no written record of how it was done, and (to the best of my knowledge) there are no surviving examples.
