I'm going to get RIA .45

.............and I need to know what magazines fit this pistol. I plan to get the 5" GI style, for now.

The commanders felt good to hold, and I am consider going to the dark side! 9mm!

John, there are a ton of different make magazines that fit the 1911- particularly for the 45 ACP. All will hold 7 45 ACP's, and magazines that hold 8 are pretty common, too.
As is often the case, you get what you pay for.

Question

My biggest delima is what one I want. I want the 5" model because it feels just like what I had in the Army. But the compact 'commander' version just feel so balanced, but the barrel is kind of short.

I am getting this so later I can get a C&C permit. But I know I will also be pumping rounds down range every chance I get.

Eventually I will slowly up-grade it as I find compatible parts, like sights and grips, ect........

Any tips and/or advice for the RIA?
