Still at it

We had our first snow and the grouse were all over the place sitting in the tops of trees out of the snow. Hard to hunt them when they do that but fun sneaking up on them.

Thats for sure = I take the dog but its still a supprise. Those stupid partridge are the ones I can't get a bead on. Plenty of them around and just can't hit them.

Chukkar do the same thing around here. I've come close to soiling myself a few time flushing one in a bush right next to me. Sounds like a damn F-4 taking off

The ones coming out of the trees are a bugger to hit. They come out going down, and sometimes climb back to level, and sometimes keep going down until they're skimming dirt.

Been a tough hunt for sharpies in this part of the world this year. Been doing pretty good on pheasants though. Looks like you're havin lots of fun. Sharptails are fun to hunt.
