Older Marlin MR-7
Am I the only one on board here with a Marlin MR-7? I really like mine, always have................except for the trigger pull.
I want to take it to a gunsmith, but I can not find one within a decent driving distance of my new location. So I would like some who has one also, to give me some 'how to' guidance on how to adjust the trigger?

The trigger is pretty much a Winchester M-70 design. Shouldn't be too hard to adjust if that is true. Never worked on a Marlin so you will have to play it by ear on that one. Talk to a 'smith about the trigger. The gun is actually a nice rifle..better than the XL-7 IMO

This rifle will be buried with me. I had to give it up for 2 years because of financial strain on my last endeavor back from Germany. Priority #1 was to get it back, and I did. It is a great rifle, I am very happy to have it. It has a few nicks and dings on the stock, but still looks good, and it put meat in the freezer this year, I suspect it will for years to come. I am thinking on ordering a new stock from Numrich, just to have just in case this stock should break. It is not like Mauser or Savage, I am not going to one just anywhere.

When it comes to 'smithing, two things I don't screw around with are triggers and safetys. I would recommend having a competent gunsmith do the work, but that's just MHO.

Naw, I won't try it my self, I only do Savage!
But I do really want to get it adjusted, just imagine the groupings! Remember the pic I posted of the target after I put the Weaver scope on it.
