The Other Shoe - McMillian

The following came to me today from a friend whom just happens to be a friend of the McMillian family also. This is an astonishing position for B of A to take. Perhaps they are just looking to get out of the banking business. This is a list of their subsidiary holdings.

Recall that Countrywide got saved by the O'Bozo Administration so that is perhaps one way the Dems got their claws into B of A.

Wes,

I just spoke to Bea, in Kelly McMillian’s office and she basically verified the entire description of the event as true, and accurate. According to her, the BOA folks just rolled into town for a “normal account discussion” and then told them straight out they had changed their policy as regarded folks who supported the 2nd amendment and no longer would accept them as line-of-credit borrowers.

Now, BOA has a history of stupid decisions in their most recent 10 years, maybe even before. But I’m going to send this on to everyone I know in hopes some attorney with a time on his hands takes them on. I can’t believe you can enact a “policy” to discriminate on the basis of support for a ratified amendment to the US Constitution……at least not legally. Maybe it’s like illegal aliens….i.e. they’re illegal, but not exactly against the law…….

I would suggest anyone with any doubts just call 623-582-9635 which is Kelly’s number and talk to Bea if she answers. This is on the same level as City & State officials, threatening to disallow permits for companies who don’t support same-sex-marriages.

Thanks for sharing my friend.

John

McMillan has been a customer and produces rifles for our Military Snipers.

This is happening all around us and we are allowing this socialist government to keep growing. McMillian Mfg in Phoenix, Arizona, was contacted by Bank of America and informed that they will no longer be allowed to use their services ( Bank of America ) because they are in the firearms business and support the second amendment.

I am fine with you re-posting it. Thank for your support.

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking (Bank of America) came to my office.

He scheduled the meeting as an "account analysis" meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them.

He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked "Can I possibly save you some time so that you don't waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business."

"That is correct", he says. I replied "That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won't mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that B of A is not firearms-industry friendly?"

"You have to do what you must", he said.

"So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?" Mr. Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say.

I think it is important for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment "right to keep and bear arms" should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don't agree with a business' political position, I cannot, in good Conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products, Kelly D. McMillan Director of Operations McMillan Group International, LLC

Jack,
The email dated yesterday and the 3rd is exactly why I included them. It is a direct confirmation from McMillian of the event. I, not the senders, simply removed the addresses so they would not appear in public.

Again?

Bank of America has not had my business for a long time and will not get any in the future.

Why is it that every time someone states something on the internet that someone else has to run to snopes with a claim its not true. I don't see anyone checking on weather snopes is correct in there statements. And just so you know I put something in a thread once that I had personnel knowledge of. And what happened, you guessed it someone that didn't know Sh?? from shinola came along with a snopes report that said it didn't happen.

I was there and it was something I personally experienced it and it did happen (and no I will not go into that again). Snopes may be a good source to check things sometimes, but who checks snopes? I don't think they are the end all to be all to knowledge or facts.

Simply because there is an enormous amount of BS sent around via e mail and other ways on the Internet. If you don't think so, you must not be getting the Nigerian bank offers to make you a millionaire.
Separating truth from fiction isn't always easy. Now, I have no idea whether this story fits that category or not. I got curious when I clicked on the link in Rapier's post and got "404 error. Sorry, the page you are seeking doesn't seem to be here" on McMillian's site.
If you read Snopes' entry on this subject, they didn't say it was true or false. They did ask BOA for a comment, and posted BOA's reply- letting you decide for yourself.

Nigerian Banks?

Some one who has to check with snopes to find out if the crap about the Nigerian Banks is real, needs more help than snopes can give them.

Rapier, put the information out there for conversation, he even included the response from McMillan.

I just though that the first response from one of us was to run to snopes and ad a link to them, (like Rapier was stating something that was mistaken), stating the exact same thing was a bit much.

If you trust snopes by all means go check with them. If snopes shows that it is not true then by all means let everybody know, then we can talk about it and figure if snopes is full of it again or not.

But please don't just throw snopes out there first thing and not comment on it at all.

Thanks for your consideration.

By the way snopes, if you check IT out, is run by a hard core liberal couple in the upper northeast US. They decide what's is real and what isn't based upon emails they get, Internet info, and whatever bs they decide to make up. So just like the emails themselves take snopes with a grain of salt. I used to fall for them as well. As for boa the same thing happened to a gun dealer locally. He moved banks and all is well.

Horrors! Not the Northeast!
Actually, snopes is run by 2 college professors that live in the LA area. One is a Canadian citizen, one is a registered independent. Neither is politically active. The site is paid for by advertising revenue - no contributions, political or otherwise, are accepted.
You can find out a bit more about them here: http://www.snopes.com/info/aboutus.asp

All I will add is this. I've had a feud against Bank of America since 1957.
Yes, it is very personal.
Regarding Snopes, they think our "Dear Leader" really can walk on water. He and the communists, err Democrats can do no wrong.

*sigh* getting old I guess. I remember when there wasn't an internet. People wrote letters, called on the phone, visited each other, and owned encyclopedias.....
