Add about 50-100 for the Silver receiver.. A little thingie about those guns. Some of them had the engraving touched up by an actual engraver..The engraving was of course rolled on..If touched up it will have a name engraved on the bottom of the engraving somewhere. Browning higher grades had the same done to them for a while. BTW y'all if you see a Browning Grade 6 or so with gold inlay..most inlays were glued on and can be lost if not careful.

On that ol G3 rather than put a sling stud in that wood..I just traded it out for an 1100 stock I had. It has a slab of carbon fiber down the mifddle with semi fancy walnut on the sides. Neat lookin..but just a cheap way to get pretty wood.

Bought a couple more guns today..Another Ruger SBH 44 mag and a Rem 700 in 25-06..Fellow has a Marlin 1895 for sale for too much money and also a Cimmaron Arms Single Action in 44-40.. 450 bucks for an Uberti?? he also has a Navy Arms 1873 Carbine he wants 550 bucks for..nice lookin gun but not my cuppa tea

Went to the Bozeman gun show today.. All I can say is wow..there were a LOT of people there. Got a fewe neat buys..coupla bullet moulds..one was a 45 Colt pistol bullet with hollow base by Ohaus..5 or 6 sets of dies one a new set of Dillon 45 Colt and another Lee Loader..this one complete in 9mm. The one I got last weekend was a complete 25-06..which is very seldom seen in the cardboard box..Got the 9mm for 5 dollars. Got another barrel for the S&W M-41 22. This one is a 7 inch bbl with a B Square scope mount.. Got another Ruger 77 Mk II in 300 Win Mag. Don't think it has ever been fired. Price was right at 280 bucks.. Found a #1 Ruger in 22-259 but the fellow wanted too much so came home without it.. Lotta snow up there today too. Not much fun driving.

Buckhunter,
I have owned two Benelli 20ga guns, the first was a straight Montefelto, I got rid of it with a smile, then I heard all this glowing nice stuff about the Cordoba, all from Benelli, by the way. Both guns were less than I wanted for a lot more money than they were worth in my opinion. The Cordoba lasted exactly two trips to the clays range and never made it to Argentina. It went down the road with a joyful celebration on my part.

I have owned about six 391 Beretta 20ga guns. Frankly the Beretta, made by the same company by the way, is twice the gun the Benelli is IMO. The Benelli is pretty crude compared to the 391.

The 20ga Cordoba slaps me in the face with that darn flex stock. Then all of the 20ga Benelli loading ports are way too narrow and the tube's cartridge lock, one piece spring lock combo, is so strong it causes the "Benelli Thumb," a cut, bleeding and sore loading thumb. The 20ga Beretta with its wide port and hinged lock, is a joy in all ways except the cleaning, as a gas gun it does get dirty, and glasses are required when shooting as it will spit powder particles out of the forend side slots. I doubt there is an easier to shoot 20ga on the market than a 391 Beretta, you adjust the stock to you, and you have a killing wand.

A used 391 Sporting gun in 20ga should be about $800 in good shape. They make a 24, 28 and 30 inch 20ga barrel. I have a 28 and 24 for my 20. Now the 12ga 391 handles just like the 20ga. I have a 391 Sporting Gold gun in 20 and 12, love both of them.

Thanks Rapier. Going to look at the Benelli but pretty much has decided against it. And yes the 391 will be on the list with a Franchi also. I have to get thru xmas before I start which will keep the commander happy. Thanks for the reviews.

As far as Manellis.. I have 3 or so..but not a 20 now anyway. Have an M-1 Super 90. Blue with black stock..and even if it has a bit more recoil than an gas gun..it IS reliable. A great late season cold weather gun. much better in cold than a gas gun.. Talkin 0 degrees and below. Super Black Eagle..3 1/2 inch gun and nebver used one a them long ones. Also reliable waterfowl hunting. The other is one of the pretty wood stock Montefeltro. Shoots ok..but it's gonna go. Berettas are ok guns. Have a 390 and a 391. The 390 is an easier on the shoulder gun and pretty reliable. The 391 I have shot at skeet and the few rounds of Sporting I shoot..Shoots fine but has a bit more recoil than my 1100s. I do have to clean my 1100s every half case or 300 shells or so. Berettas I clean about every case..Oh a case to me is still 500 shells. I will also agree with Ed..Benelli is surely over priced...but so are the Berettas. I picked up a like new 11-87 Premier the other day for 325 bucks..Shotguns really do not go as highly priced here as they do in other areas. Unfortunately I only got 2 chokes with the gun...but I probably have 50 Rem Chokes round here.. I also got a light Contour 11-87 3 inch barrel for 90 bucks..one choke. Put it on an older 1100. Yeah.. I know. They aren't supposed to fit 1100s. But they will and work just fine. Snowin..had about 4 inches so far. Only got down to 6 degrees last night. 6 below night before..
