Thursday Night Drinkin and Ramblin Thread.
Gotta run some night shifts over the weekend so I am up way past my bedtime. Had a few glasses of Gibsons on ice now, feel good just sleepy.
Wifey is at work, kids are asleep, cat is being a typical #######. Been a good night. Loaded up about 30 rounds of 45acp, and finished up another 100 .204 Ruger. I have a Lee Pro 1000 press I got really cheap, was originally used for .223....Perfect I thought, I can set it up for 45 a well....Jeez.....woulda been easier to just buy another Lee Pro 1000 press already set up for .45!! Bought a powder through expander die for .45 on Amazon today...well crap, cleaning up my work area it seems I had already got one...dunno when....So now I have a spare I guess.... Loaded up the .45 on the low end of the powder scale(6gr Win AutoComp, usually load them at 6.3 and work perfect)So will see how they shoot I guess.... Seated the .204 out quite a bit further than I have in previous, I know I should test a few 1st, but its easy enough to toss them back into the bullet seater and squish em a few thou if they don't perform. Also ordered the Frankford Arsenal rotary tumbler...should arrive tomorrow! I am really wanting to try this out!!! I have no clean brass right now, and I am too lazy to change the media in my Turbo tumbler.....looks like work.... Still have 300 .204 sized, trimmed, and primed....There better be lots of gophers this year!!! Over the last 13 years or so I have really neglected my shooting hobby. I aim to change that. Spend as much time as I can at the range. Got my tax return yesterday as well....It went to pay off the new crap I have bought LOL Wife finally put her foot down and said NO MORE. Apparently a new AR15, A Ruger M77, and Scope, plus a bunch of accessories was pushing it....I am so fortunate she likes shooting almost as much as I do!! Sexy, and shoots guns, cant lose!!! Time for another drink!!! Hope everyone is having a great night!!
