Man Set On Fire During Argument

A Detroit man was set on fire during a dispute with his girlfriend Sunday.

The man went to his girlfriend's home on Steel Street at about 1:20 p.m. and had an argument with her over loud music played by her children, police said. The man then took a shower, and when he was done, the woman poured gasoline on him and set him on fire, according to police.

The man set other items on fire as he ran through the home, Local 4 learned. The house was destroyed by the flames.

The victim was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was listed in temporary serious condition, Local 4 reported.

The woman was taken into police custody.
