'98 Mauser sight hood tool

There is a neat tool for removing and reinstalling '98 Mauser sight hoods. Without it, getting them back on can be a challenge. I do not have the tool, but found a way to get the job done. I use two pairs of pliers and grasp the edges of the sight hood. Instead of trying to spread the pliers and the sight hood (which will only enlarge you biceps and sometimes cause the hood to dart around the room), merely press the sides of the pliers together. This will spread the base of the sight hood with less effort and make installing it a snap. All the best...
