At 42, I am welcome to join the Army Reserve here in Germany. I really want to, I have been out of the active army for 13 years now, and dont like the civilian life much.

BUT....................this is a long one, I would have to bend the truth to pass the physical. But my take is, the VA says I am okay at 10% and are denying me re-evaluation. And I do physical labor jobs since I have been out, and live on a heating pad in bed, and usually have over the counter pain killers in my system for the last 15 years, but I never call in sick, even when I should. So if the VA says I am healthy enough to work manual labor jobs with my aches and pains, and minimum pay, I think I should be healthy enough to do the reserve duty. Let me point out, they stressed to me NO COMBAT ARMS they said I cant do my old MOSes, I can only jockey a desk or drive a truck, although neither really appeals to me, beats working in the PX though. I know several people who have bent the truth, and are in and doing well, but I do have a stab of guilt, and I havent even taken the physical yet......................PLEASE give me your thoughts.................Thanks, Jon
