The Winchester Saga!!!
The following is taken from the MailRoom Section of "Peterson's Publishing", "Rifle Shooter", November/December 2006.
The Editor responded to a readers letter about Winchester: Quote is from Ed. "The next chapter in the Winchester saga is about to begin. On August 15, 2006, just as this issue was going to press, the Winchester Division of Olin corporation announced that it had entered into a long-term license agreement with Browning for the manufacture and distribution of Winchester brand rifles and shotguns. While no specific models were mentioned in the press release, it is easy to assume that the Model 70 - and perhaps the 94 as well - will be among the firearms produced by Browning. In addition to the M92, several other classic Winchester models - the Model 12 and 42 shotguns, and the M52 and M63 rimfires, for example - have been made by Miroku over the years, some marked Browning and some marked Winchester. It looks like we will now have a generation of "post 06" Winchesters. Can't wait to get our hands on one. Ed." Well I saw that and though all of you guys and girls (Lady's) would like to know. Maybe Winchester will make a come back of sorts. Nuf said
