In a way a guy should read the archives and also ask if there is anything really wrong with the Weatherby UL and then do the same for the 25-06.
Since the answer just has to be that there is nothing wrong with either then just get what you want, practice with it, use the right bullets in it and aim well. It seems that you have done that.
