crossbow and yotes

I ahve a friend that is looking into eliminating some coyotes in a pretty rural area, but his wife will not let him shoot a firearm at night, him and I were thinking about a crossbow with night vision scope.

he has 2 small dogs and the yotes are within 30ft of the house already.

shots between 50 and 100 yds

are we nuts??

is it possible

any suggestions
