Rem 700 or Savage
Okay, I'm not real knowledgeable regarding rifles.
I am trying to decide between a Remmington 700 VLS and a Savage 12BVSS. Both rifles seem to be very similar in physical aspects, such as barrel length (26" is as short as I want to go). I have pretty much decided that .243 is the caliber of my preference. My intended use for this rifle will be hogs, yotes, bobcats, and similar sized critters. Maybe even whitetails, though I do have other firearms for deer. I'm looking at ranges out to maybe 300 yards (but probably much less). I've been trying to read everything I can find about these two rifles, but everything is positve for both - making the decision even harder. So, if anyone or everyone could give me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it. I also have questions regarding scopes, but I'll leave it at the rifle for now. Thanks in advance. |
