Hunted this morning- opening day in Maine and did something I have never done before- shot a bearded hen! She had a 5 1/2 inch beard and weighs 16 pounds! I was confused when she came in because her head looked like a hen but I could see the beard as clear as day so I shot her! You will not hear me complain- a bird is a bird and I will take a clean kill on any bird any day! It is also the first bird I have shot with my new Nova and must say I am impressed with that gun!
