Was a name given to a group of firearms that were made for one of the mass merchandisers (Montgomery Ward in this case??) and was probably made either by Mossberg(they had one like this that the forend tip folded down on) or Savage Stevens. I just bought a Savage M-87 Deluxe in as new condition that was marked Montgomery Ward. Receiver was even dovetailed for a scope and most Savage 87"s weren't dovetailed. If it is in nice condition it'll probably be a nice plinking rifle. Be fun to shoot any way
