Season over before it starts
Looks like my bow season is over before it even gets started
I have a tendon torn off from my rotator cuff and go in for surgery on 9/11 (isn't that promising). Doc says I'll be in a sling for 4 - 6 weeks with no movement of my shoulder allowed. After that, I'll start rehab with a recovery time of 6 - 9 months. I plan on knocking that time frame down as much as possible, but it still puts the brakes on pulling a bow back this year. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to gun hunt. Doc wasn't to keen on a rifle going off against my shoulder. Might have to start practicing left handed with the Raging Bull 44mag. Hopefully, I'll at least be able to get out with my son and take him bowhunting. |
