Rapier, it is REALLY helpful when you're in a rental, though!
If you notice, most Japanese cars made there and shipped in will have the fill port on the right. That's because in Japan, they have right-hand drive. The tank and rear body panels don't have to be re-designed if they just leave them there for us Yanks.
