PA Bill introduced to require serial numbers on handgun ammo.
A Bill proposed on February 5, 2008 in Harrisburg would encode a serial number on all handgun ammunition sold in Pennsylvania. I read the bill, but did not jot down the number. I read that, if passed, the law would require ALL handgun ammo currently owned (and not serially numbered) would have to be disposed of and would be illegal to own after January 1, 2010.
I think this illogical bill would put an end to bullet casting and reloading as we Pennsylvania residents know it today. WOW! My Coleman Stove and lead pot would be as illegal as a still or meth lab. Oh, and toss in 28 bullet moulds, to boot. I doubt this bill will go anywhere, but we need to keep alert because the lunatic anti-gun fringe is always lurking. Adam
