Nat Geo came to our gun club

Our gun club was selected for a military sniper rifle shoot off at 300 yards. A British Enfield No. 4 Mark I in .303
was pitted against a 1903-A4 Springfield in .30-06. The targets were two watermelons and the filming and shooting began. The "hot shots" (one from England and the other from New Jersey) fired 20 rounds and never
hit the targets. The film crew went to the 100 yard range and drafted a local shooter who was sighting in his deer rifle. Our local hero listened to the instructions for the course of fire, examined the rifles and settled into the shooting bench and began firing. With two shots, he destroyed both watermelons. When this film footage is shown worldwide, the "hot shots" will be shown shooting and the watermelons will be destroyed. Our local shooter is not featured. Now you know the rest of the story. Take care...
Joe
