Gun Shows and stuff
Been hitting a few gun shows over the last month or 2. Wow are prices on guns up there in the stratosphere. And for the same reason they aren't selling. I haven't acquired too many guns lately. Haven't seen stuff I really wanted. I did go halves on a pre War M-70 in 22 K Hornet. Beautiful rifle. Nice unrefinished stock. It had the original rear sight and a front sight hood. BBL had been drilled and tapped for target mounts. it was made in 39 per the serial and the bbl date. One of the prettiest factory stocks I have seen. We bought it for 1800. Turned it for 4 grand. It was that nice..and I had a set of K dies..They went with it. At the show in Cody guy walked in with an absolute beauty 3 screw Ruger Blackhawk..41 Mag. It was in a sock..lol! First year(1964) four digit with the original box of ammo he got with the gun.5 rounds gone. not even a ring on the cylinder. Bought the darn thing for just what the guy wanted. 400 bucks. As far as I am concerned, it was a steal. Turned down 700 already. Think I shoulda sold it?? Am looking for a Winchester lever gun in 375 Winchester. Mainly cause I got 8 boxes of ammo recently..and from the same fellow 8 boxes of Ol 32 Rem ..rifle ammo guys. For the 81 and such rifles. Also got a couple more boxes of 30 rem..for my pump gun,... Gotten many many bullet moulds and dies too. Got a really nice new set of CH4D 25-20 Single Shot dies. hardly ever see the cal any more. Only paid 15 bucks for 'em. Powder is not getting any easier to find. Primers are coming back in the loop..but Hi Hi Higher prices Ammo is still kinda short out here..but seeing a bit more 22s in the loop too. Gonna see a fellow Monday who has about 30,000 round of new brass. I already bought all the 243 he had....primed Norma and Winchester. Got 25 boxes and sold most of it already. popular cal out here for some reason. More stuff happening but will wait to see what goes this week
