Opening day for doves

I got to the field a little after 1:00 and got out into the field with gun in hand around 1:15. By 2:30 I was done with my 12 bird limit and had shot 32 shells, 7 shells more than I wanted to use, but still acceptable.

I spent the rest of the time, until 5:00, watching my dad and uncle get their limits and working with Nitro who had a blast today. When he wasn't retrieving, he was running all over the field. I think he and I are going to sleep pretty good tonight and we are going to hit the field again tomorrow.

So, how did the rest of you guys do on those fast movers?
