Excited Nitro

Last week I went deer hunting and Nitro saw me load up the truck. However, he had to stay home. My wife told me that he whined all day.

Today, he watched me throw my waterfowl parka and bibs and my shotgun in the car's trunk, but he got to come along. The entire ride to the farm, which is about 30 minutes, he was resting in my lap shaking. I know he wasn't cold because the heat works really well in the car and it was on. I know I was toasty.

In the field, while he was sitting in his blind, I could see him shaking like crazy.

Do dogs usually get this excited to go hunting. I know the two goldens I used to hunt with would wag their tails like crazy when they saw me getting out the camo, and one crapped all over the place once when I left him and only took the other one.

Dogs continue to amaze me.
