Rem Bronze Points
My 2-cents
I agree with most of the comments that have been posted on this subject. I believe Rocky correctly stated the intent of the BP bullets. When they were readily available, I used them and loved them in my 270 because they produced more accurate handloads than the Rem Core-Lokts. I had heard that they had a problem with adequate penetration but never verified it for myself. One can argue that Nosler Partitions and other premium bullets are "better" for deer, but just how much "better" do you need? In my opinion, deer (both mulies and whitetails) do not need premium bullets unless smaller calibers are used. With major manufacturer (e.g., Rem, Win, Hornady) bulk bullets, you can shoot a lot, have adequate terminal performance for deer and save money. 270man |
