What are you looking for in 2006?

I am going back to the surplus shop and scan the racks. I know there are a few K31 Swiss carbines and I may refurbish one for my nephew. That 2-groove Enfield is still there. The shop also has about a half dozen each 1903s and 1903A3s in beautiful condition at CMP prices or a bit more.

I have noticed that surplus arms dealers are listing lower grades of military rifles. Nearly all of them have a disclaimer regarding the bore condition being less than new. When I come across a decent surplus arm with a very nice bore and price, it is in danger of going home with me. When they are gone, they are gone for good. Remember all those nice Swedish rifles at very reasonable prices? Take care and all the best...
