3:00 AM congressional vote
Well, I suppose somebody has to have a comment on this topic. I haven't heard a whole lot about it yet, but Patrick Kennedy's excuse for having the 3:00 AM accident the other night was that he was confused, and late for a vote. He said if he seemed disorientated it was because of some cold medication he was taking, not alcohol.
My comment is: What does it matter what kind of mood altering substance you were taking, alcohol or cold medicine. If it goofed you up enough to think you were late for a congressional vote at 3:00 am you have no business driving, period. I don't care if he was drinking and covering it up (my gut feeling) or if he really was under the influence of another type of legal drug. It doesn't pass the smell test. The police officers at the scene said he appeared under the influence of something. I don't think an alcohol test was taken. I guess it's true, apples don't fall far from the tree. At least nobody drowned this time.
