Stiffening a Savage stock
I have a Savage 10FP in 308. It shoots very well, however, I've noticed that when I'm using my sling, that the forearm warps slightly and pulls up against the barrel. I'm not sure that it really affects the overall accuracy, the groundhogs seem just as dead, but it's somethig I would like to fix if possbile.
Can I stiffen this by putting a ppiece of flat alumium in the bottom and epoxying it in? i figure i will have to rough up the inside of the well to get it to hold. Any other methods out there?
