PA Antlerless deer season October 13-20, 2007.

The October antlerless deer season occurs at the nicest time of year. Nowdays, "Any Muzzleloader" is legal to hunt with. Our after-Christmas Traditional muzzleloader season requires the use of Flintlocks, only.

I have been trying to decide which ML to use for the week-long season. I have a pair of Hawken flinters, .50 and .54 caliber, that are at the top of my list. Next are the .50 Hawken caplock and a .54 caplock Renegade. I use patched roundball in all these arms.

Between now and October 13, I will get to the backyard bench a few times and finalize the choice of my opening day gun.
