Yard sales etc

Well I did it again. Wife went to the grocery store in Powell On Saturday. Saw a listing on the board for guns for sale and brought me the number(good wife, huh?). Called the guy and lo and behold he had a Pre 64 Win 70 in 30-06 for sale Had a 6 power Leupold on it. I ended up buying it for 550 bucks. Stock is a little rough as it was cut 1/2 inch and the steel plate put back on...badly but I'm gonna put a pad on it and maybe clean up the stock a bit to make it a little more presentable. Bore is great...blue is about 75-80%. Well used gun but for the price a good buy. Gonna try shooting it soon to see how it does Probably sell the steel checkered butt plate on ebay and probably the scope too. I should be able to have this ol thing looking and shooting good for under 400 bucks. The guy also had a really nice Winchester Low wall takedown model that had been relined fron 25 rimfire to 22 rim. Had a really nice Winchester A-5 scope on it. Gun is in at least 90% blue and stock finish. Negotiating price. Hope we can work something out. Anybody need a really nice Remington 513T DCM rifle? Going to sell to buy this Winchester...maybe
