Mid-Winter refit.
This time of year finds me refitting all my muzzle loaders. I take the arms, one at a time, and take them apart: I clean and lightly lube the locks, put some boiled linseed out on the stocks (inside and out) and wipe out the bores, again. I also put some Brasso on the brass furniture so the guns look nice in the horizonal gun rack in the den.
We are enjoying a February thaw right now, so some of those nice looking guns will get some black powder residue on them at the backyard bench. Oh well, I like cleaning guns. Adam
