Gun Show finds
Did a gun show last weekend. Came up with a couple of really good buys. First I got an old Cramer 5 hole 38 bullet mould with handles for 30 bucks..and another Lyman 55 powder measure for the same price..a new in the box RCBS hand priming tool for 15 dollars a Pact electronic scale and powder dispenser(with an extra RCBS dispenser for 50 bucks(all works great) and the best buy of the show(for me anyway) was 2 8lb kegs of Unique powder for 80 bucks. That is 5 dollars a pound. I broke one out yesterday to load some more 20 ga shells and shot 3 or 4 to chase the deer out of my garden. 5 bucks a pound is great and I use a lot of Unique in 20 ga ..28 ga and some pistol loads. Gave a pound to the rancher where we hunt elks and antelopes along with a couple hundred cast lead bullets for his 45 Colt. That was another good "buy". I got 94 lbs of sized cast lead bullets for 45 auto and Colt when I bought a bunch of reloading stuff. The bullets were free. I also got over 400 once fired 44 mag empties at the gun show for 10 bucks but for the life of me I don't know why I bought 'em...cept they were really cheap. I also took a Walther P-1(civilian P38) on trade. (2 mags and holster) and i don't know why I did that either. Have no use for the 9mm. but I only gave 'em 100 bucks for it. Seems like I ALWAYS buy more'n I sell at gun shows..I oughta stop doin 'em...NAH!! Too much fun.
Now..I gotta get deer season going soon..the deer are eatin everything they can get their teeth on..
