A No.4 Mk1 for $799.00.

Last Thursday I was at our weekly "Tioga County Militia Meeting" of old duffers over age 65. We number about a dozen and possess, collectively, all the reloading, casting and gun savvy on the planet.

A lad inheirited a British WWII Army rifle, a No.4 Mk1, that he wished to sell. The gunshop owner paid whatever he paid the lad and entered it in his bound book and then placed the rifle on the used gun rack for $799.00. The Militia picked the gun off the rack and gave it an inspection. It is a No.4 that went through Factory Through Repair (FTR) and appears to be unissued due to the refit. My first No.4 sold for $14.04, with tax, and is Very Good. My how times have changed.
