I got one of those from Cummins also

and mine is a great shooter. The Dovetail is standard for rimfire type scopes, just becareful because the spring recoil will rip a cheap scope to pieces inside.

Anyway mine is .177 cal and would do quite well for squirrels with the right pellets and a well placed shot.

I also like to recommend the Aguilla "SUPER" Colibri .22 rimfire ammo.

In a decent bolt or lever action .22 rifle they are actually quieter than most springer pellet rifles and work well on squirrels at close range (no more that 25 - 30 yards)

CCI also makes a .22 short in a "CB" cartridge that is quiet and effective
