the saum is no longer offerd on the 700 action.
it is still offerd in the model 7 short action magnum rifle. remington added the 270 and 300wsm to the 700 rifles, but left out the 7mmwsm for some reason. they didnt touch the wssm calibers at all wich is a good thing

I think putting 24" barrels on the SPS is a step in the right direction but am definitely not too happy about it not being available with wood stocks. I wonder if our firearm manufacturers are aware that some of us do not consider synthetics as something rare and wonderful. If you prefer synthetics that's wonderful, but many of us do not. It's like the companies are forcing them on us. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.
