Dunno, Skinny.
I do know that, during WW11, FDR felt it was inappropriate to have a party while US troops were in combat. Cost of inaugural: O P.S. I did find a Yahoo news story that put the cost of the upcoming inaugural at $40 Mil, but not including security. Same story listed Clinton's '92 inaugural at $32 mil.
