Fps?

Whats the minimum a .177 air rifle should be flinging pellets at for taking down game the size of squirrels?

I am currently testing that. My aunt is paying me to shoot her squirrels. I will use a 840C grizzly first. IT has 300 FPS.

I would say around 800 FPS to do it humanly and not have a bunch of wounded animals.

I think about 800 FPS is about the velocity of a .22 short shell and they work pretty good for squirrels

I'd say 500 or 600- a little pump up bb gun can give you that. If need be, finish 'em with a knife.
