New bow hunter
I am pretty new to the whole bow hunting thing and I just set up a blind on a trail that seemed to be well used. The only problem is that since i have been there I have only seen one deer and it was a doe when i was putting up the ground blind. It has a little pond about fifty yards away but i havent seen anything since the first day. What might I be doing wrong?

make sure the trail or direction the deer travel isn't downwind. If you put the blind up recently, it may take a while before they get used to it being there, give it time.

Contrary to popular hunting shows, deer don't appear everyday and where you want them.
![]() Just be patient, take Feathermax and others advise, and success will come. I've taken my share of deer over the years, and feel I can read an area fairly well. But I still have days I don't see a deer. Heck, out of 6 times in a stand this year, I have only seen 2 deer during shooting light (and they were together). |
