Yup! But there's a catch. Shop around a fair distance from your locale. 2 years ago in January I bought my first Polaris 400 Sportsman from the closest Polaris dealer (50 miles north). They wanted $6700 out the door. I called a dealer 6 hours north where my duck club was and they quoted $6300 right off the bat. I took that back and all I could get was $6500 from my local guy. I settled and wrote the check.

A month later I decided to buy a second machine so my wife got the 400 and I went after a 500HO Sportsman. I just happened across a trader publication online that a dealer in Los Angeles (4 hours south) was advertising in, only $6300 OTD!! My local dealer wanted $7600 out the door for the 500HO!! I called the Los Angeles dealer and really grilled them on the deal and they swore it was for real, my local guy said "no way, it'll never happen!" I drove down to L.A. with my trailer early one morning to get there before 8 a.m. as recommended. I had a Cashiers Check in hand made out for $6300 as I was told. By 9 a.m. I was on my way home with a brand new '04.5 Polaris 500HO! I then realized that I got RIPPED on my 400 purchase and am still pissed today! I'll never buy from that local dealer again.

Somewhere in your state there is a big dealer that works on volume. Like the L.A. dealer, don't go there "looking" to buy, go there knowing exactly what you want because these guys only know how to fill out paperwork and take money. That dealer in L.A. sold every brand there was, over 100,000 sq. ft of warehouses filled side to side with Crotch Rockets to ATV's. There is another just like it in Chattanooga, TN but there has to be one somewhere in your state.
