It is almost a win/win situation. Kids have the ability to hunt the rest of their life without ever having to worry about getting a hunting license and the Department of Natural Resources makes additional money. However, there is a downside on both sides. For you, the child might not like to hunt at all. For the Department of Natural Resources, too many of these licenses might be sold and the future income stream from the sales of licenses might drop off. Kind of like pre-paid tuition. A lot of states are not allowing people to pre-pay for their children's tuition because the states got screwed by the rising cost of education. Now, they only let parents put money away in a 429 savings plan to be used for the payment of college at a later date.
