Looking for LAN Chat program

Does anyone know a good program similiar to this one: http://www.sharewareorder.com/LAN-Ch...load-15507.htm
We have it but it leaves a little bit to be desired.
It'd be nice to use Outlook Express on the LAN only and not thru the web for instant messaging.

I've never personally had the need for anything like that. I use GAIM for all of my IMing needs, although it goes through the internet.

I recommend taking a look at sourceforge.net. It's all open source stuff over there, and sometimes you can come across some good programs.

I ran a search, and found this as one of the results: http://sourceforge.net/projects/newpopper

It might be worth looking at, although I've never used it.

I forgot to mention that we are running it thru 3 workstations.
