Went out to the Sods and I must say it was awesome area, the flora and fauna out there is so different up on the Canaan Valley Plateau and the trees were already changing color. We went through Dolly Sods, and then looked around for camp areas, which was very slim, so we headed out to 32 up towards Davis, and checked out the Wild Life Refuge areas off Camp 70 road and the Blackwater River. Another nice area but camping is either prohibited or limited to a handful of sites.

On the way back home we checked out Squirrel Gap near Wardensville and found some nice sites and good sign down on the Trout Pod end of the forest service road going through the Nat Forrest. Looks like we picked the area, lets just hope it doesn’t get to crowded <fingers crossed> Oh saw 2 Black Bears as we drove through.
