I think this may be much ado about nothing. IIRC, the good old 1911s in .45 ACP also have an unsupported chamber next to the feed ramp. I don't see anyone having problems loading for those firearms. My ex-son-in-law is an LEO and his duty gun is a Glock in .45 ACP. he usually gives me his fired brass and I've been reloading them and shooting them in my 1911s and SIG P220 with no problems at all. As far as shooting handloads in a Glock, I believe the problem stems from shooting lead bullets in that wierd rifling they use. Why that happens is beyond me, but jacketed handloads should work just fine in Glocks.
