lilred my old Uncle and also a neighbour raised pheasants. You do need a lot of room for the birds. The other issue is they can be scared by predators and try to fly and get injured when they smash into the fencing. This is dealt with by either having really high pens (my uncles were 20 ft high enclosures) or going low......my neighbours are only 4 feet high and this seems to deter the birds from trying to fly. On average..........and I have raised lotsof animals in my life.......I'd say they are more of a PITA to raise than a lot of other things.
