We use bloodhounds, and they are fantastic. A lot of dogs are decent at following bloodtrails, from terriers to dachshounds, to even the pointers.

But, I try and avoid having to call a friend or find someone with one handy. I might get it, still thinking about it though.

I haven`t used one yet, but I sure wish I would have had one Monday nite. Spent 1 1/2 hrs. that nite and another 5 1/2 Tuesday and did not find the deer. I did buy a mini blood hunter today so will post again when I get to try it. I am partly color blind and have trouble seeing blood any way so this should reall help, I HOPE. Seem I like to close the door after the horse gets out.
